Wish You Were Here, Art Refuge – 1st – 4th December

A fundraising exhibition for Art Refuge

Over 150 artists create work for the Wish You Were Here exhibition

I am delighted to have been selected to create and donate a postcard sized artwork in aid of the charity Art Refuge, for this special exhibition of artworks by over 150 established and emerging artists.

On it's 15th anniversary, Art Refuge is aiming to raise £20,000 to fund their work with refugees in Northern France and the UK.

Artists taking part include – Grayson Perry, Aida Silvestri, Eileen Cooper, Rana Begum, Julian Opie, Gillian Vaux, Jeremy Deller, Richard Deacon, David Tremlett, Majid Adin and Jane McAdam Freud among others, including myself.

'Art Refuge – supports people displaced due to conflict, persecution and poverty through socially engaged art and art therapy, both in the UK and internationally. Working with refugees in northern France and new arrivals in the UK, Art Refuge’s small, experienced team of art therapists and artists, including those who have direct experience as refugees themselves, provide regular arts-based spaces to support people’s mental health, many of whom are young, unaccompanied, and have no other such support'. Art Refuge

You can find out more about the exhibition in this Blog post here.

Check out the Wish You Were Here Instagram page to browse some of the artworks in the exhibition.

Wish You Were Here exhibition raffle
