This aqua, olive and pink abstract collage artwork, was made by Michelle using a combination of her hand-painted and printed textiles and papers, along with plain paper. Raised areas of textiles give a layered effect to the work

Collage is a method of working that Michelle has always enjoyed and has a natural affinity with. Working with collage gives Michelle the freedom to experiment with colour, shape and texture in a more immediate way, a type of drawing and recording which feeds into her larger one-off textile artworks.
